Hervé Van der Straeten
Hervé Van der Straeten, born in 1965, designs exceptionally well crafted furniture, mirrors, and accessories with a taste for the unreal and the unexpected. Also a designer of jewelry, perfumes bottles and makeup cases, he has worked with Yves Saint-Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Dior and Guerlain among others.
With innovation and integrity, Hervé Van der Straeten continues the rich tradition of fine French design and craftsmanship. His furniture and accessories are created utilizing the traditional techniques of hand-wrought bronze, layers of painstakingly applied lacquer and meticulously matched and polished wood. Bold, elegant and original, his designs are realized by a team of master craftsman under Hervé’s direct supervision at his Parisian workshop.
