Douglas Fanning's remarkable nesting tables have amorphous, black quartzite tops and rest upon legs of blackened steel. Considered as a whole, the beautifully abstract creation functions with an elegant simplicity befitting its form, working either as a coffee table when put together, or as a set of unified side tables when pulled apart. Made by hand, the assemblage is a work of supreme craftsmanship, representing a great deal of painstaking and expert labor.
