This mirror, designed by Jean-Louis Deniot, sports two frames—an exterior of matte black steel, and an interior gilded in copper leaf. When illumined, the gilt copper, enveloped in light from behind, creates a remarkable liminal space between the illusory depth of reflection and the geometric frame encasing it.
