A tribute to the ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tseu, this monumental corten steel sculpture is a smaller example of a large scale, public commission exhibited in the Val de Marne in 1984. Like the body of di Teana’s work the piece explores the intersecting roles of architecture and sculpture, with a focus on the power of negative space.
