This pair of armchairs was commissioned for the Palais des Consuls de Rouen in 1955 as part of a joint project with fellow designer André Arbus. The pieces possess the weight and balance of Arbus's neo-classically inspired work, but like much of Adnet's furniture, have a sleeker, more modern aesthetic.
