In many of her most powerful sculptures Niamh Barry abandons her signature fluid ellipses for compositions of sharp angles arranged in dynamic, crisscrossing lines--forms that suggest a whole different category of motion. With Walking, one of Barry's largest and most evocative pieces yet, mirror polished, straight strips create a mulitplicty of angles that reflect the piece's opal glass filtered LED light in every direction, conveying perfectly the motion for which it's named.
