The word Uroko, or "fish scale," originates from the Japanese saying "mekaraurokogaochiru," meaning, "to be awakened to the truth." Trad carved the table of French Oak with this saying in mind, intending for each scale to draw the admirer's vision along the continuous, smooth curves of base's twin supports, revealing the reflected light and subtle shadows unique to each fragment. This mesmerizing scale-like pattern is complemented perfectly by a sumptuous, aspen white marble top.
