Mat Driscoll is a designer living and working in New York. After an accomplished career in advertising, and desiring to create things of permanence, Mat Driscoll resigned his role as Art Director at an agency in New York and moved to a quiet town on the coast of Maine. There he studied under furniture masters from around the world and graduated from the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship. Returning to Brooklyn in 2010, he opened BELLBOY, a contemporary furniture studio focused on imaginative works that employ harmonious materials and consummate craftsmanship. Mat believes that furniture is one of the most intimate things in a home, and that timeless design offers the owner an opportunity to add meaning to each object and space. All of Mat's work is simple and imaginative, of exquisite craftsmanship and elegant proportions. Each piece is built to order in BELLBOY’s Brooklyn studio and is informed by classical furniture making techniques.
